»Playground Zeughaus«: Guided tour of the Department of Design

The guided tour offers visitors the chance to explore the historic former armory, which has undergone extensive renovation over the past ten years.

Today’s Department of Design has evolved from several predecessor institutions, which were previously located in various buildings across Munich. Since its move to the historic Zeughaus (armory) on Lothstrasse in October 2018, all degree programs and specializations of the Department of Design have been brought together under one roof for the first time. The result is an inspiring location that offers plenty of space for creativity to flourish and is tailor-made for design as a central discipline for tackling the challenges of our time.

As part of the 2026 mcbw, which has the motto »Playground of Possibilities,« the Department of Design at Munich University of Applied Sciences is presenting its »Playground Zeughaus,« an introduction to its diverse range of activities in a variety of events held in the historic Zeughaus.
