»Playground Zeughaus«: Installation »Between Light and Language«

»Between Light and Language«—an installation by students of the Department of Design at the Munich University of Applied Sciences as part of the »Zeig Dein Zeug« exhibition series.

Lights alter their radiance through air and emptiness. Words alter their meaning through use. Between technology and sensation, a space emerges that begs to be experienced.

IN SILICO explores the effects of material changes on the quality of light. Three floor lamps, as tall as a person, react to air pressure, shifting their light quality from soft to harsh.

WORTSTELLUNG creates a playful space exploring language in use: Everyday phrases, slips of the tongue, and brief pauses become audible and visible, inviting visitors to cast their own personal interpretations.

As part of the 2026 mcbw, which has the motto »Playground of Possibilities,« the Department of Design at Munich University of Applied Sciences is presenting its »Playground Zeughaus,« an introduction to its diverse range of activities in a variety of events held in the historic Zeughaus.
