The Munich Fashion Award (Kreativ München) and mcbw host a workshop where young designers explore opportunities and challenges of creating sustainable fashion in the EU.

The mcbw x MFA Workshop "Designing for Sustainable Fashion in a New World" focuses on the needs of emerging designers and sustainable labels: How can small labels develop sustainable products in a rapidly changing fashion landscape?
New EU regulations on sustainability and transparency are creating major challenges even for large fashion companies. This is due to missing technical solutions and the limited adaptation of existing technologies from other industries. At the same time, implementing available tools such as the AI-supported Digital Product Pass poses additional hurdles for small labels.
In the first part, international experts share insights on regulatory requirements and technological tools. The second, interactive part focuses on the perspective of small labels: what challenges do they face in succeeding with sustainable concepts? The outcome will be a GAP analysis.
