Katerina Katmada
Katerina Katmada is a multidisciplinary designer and researcher working at the intersection of digital systems, accessibility, and citizen empowerment. She is a Product Design Lead in a health‑tech company and is pursuing a PhD on digital platforms for participatory innovation. With training in Computer Science, Informatics, and Strategic Product Design, she combines technical expertise with human-centred thinking. Her experience spans startups, larger companies, community initiatives, and EU‑funded research at CERTH, where she contributed to platforms for citizen engagement, crowdsourcing, and data visualisation. She views design as a social and technical practice aimed at reducing barriers, inviting participation, and empowering diverse communities.
