Stefanie Kubanek

Stefanie Kubanek was born in Boston and grew up in Germany. She and Michael Geldmacher are the founders of the design studio MUCNYC, established in 2019. With international experience in industrial, furniture, and strategic design, they combine functional thinking with an intercultural perspective and a collaborative approach.

After training as a goldsmith she studied industrial design, first in Hamburg and then at the Royal College of Art in London, graduating with a master's degree. She then worked for companies including 1:1 and Pier Studio (BMW Group), as well as a bicontinental associate partner for Pentagram in London and New York.
