Hannes Taubenböck
Hannes Taubenböck majored in Geography with minors in Remote Sensing, Spatial Planning, and Geoinformatics, at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich). He completed his PhD at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) with a thesis entitled “Vulnerability Assessment of the Megacity Istanbul Using Remote Sensing Methods." In 2019, he gained his habilitation with the title “Remote Sensing for the Analysis of Global Urbanisation." He works at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in the German Remote Sensing Data Centre (DFD) in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, and also holds a chair in Global Urbanisation and Remote Sensing at JMU.
