Elianna Renner

Elianna Renner (b. 1977, Zurich) is an interdisciplinary artist whose work spans video, installation, photography, and performance. After studying painting and time-based media at the University of the Arts Bremen and spending time in
Geneva and Auckland, she earned her diploma in 2008 and became a master student of Prof. Jean-François Guiton in 2009. In her projects, she links questions of memory, migration, identity, and Jewish culture with documentary and experimental approaches, as seen in works such as Tracking the Traffic and Köfte Kosher. In addition to her artistic practice, she is active as a curator and co-founder of cultural initiatives that bring socio-political issues to the forefront.
