Sabine Richly

Sabine Richly is a lawyer and digital media consultant. She studied law in Passau and London and completed her legal training in Düsseldorf, Münster, and Brussels. She also holds master’s degrees in Digital Media Management and Digital Media Law from the Film University Potsdam. After working as a lawyer at a Munich-based law firm specializing in film and media, she served as legal counsel at VG WORT between 2009 and 2023. Since then, as a self-employed lawyer, she has been advising companies, non-governmental organizations, authors’ associations, and collecting companies on navigating the complex political landscape surrounding AI and copyright within European and global decision-making bodies.
