Ever since I discovered the art of felting during my studies, I’ve been fascinated by working with wool.
Whether I’m felting a rug for the floor or a wall hanging, a soft cushion in bright colors, or a piece of felt that wraps around me, my goal is always to “paint” a picture with wool.
My children gave me the idea for the monsters, or fantasy creatures: “Mom, sew me a monster out of the fabric scraps to watch over me.”
Each monster is one-of-a-kind and is sewn from remnants of boiled wool, felt scraps, and cotton fabrics. These creatures are filled with kapok fibers.
