Dominikus Baur
Dominikus Baur studied Media Informatics at LMU Munich, where he earned his PhD focusing on personal data visualization in 2011. After a postdoc at the University of Calgary, he worked as a freelancer in data visualization from 2013, with clients including Google, the OECD, and the World Bank.
His work received second place at the Cebit Innovation Award and multiple Information Is Beautiful Awards. Alongside his professional career, he pursued generative art and taught at Johannes Kepler University Linz and in corporate workshops.
Since 2025, he is Professor for "Generative Design and Creative AI" at Munich University of Applied Sciences, focusing on data visualization, generative systems, and the impact of AI on design.
