Mathis Nitschke
Sound Director, Sonic Designer & Founder of Sofilab
Mathis Nitschke is a sound director, sonic designer and founder of Sofilab, a Munich-based studio and innovation lab at the intersection of art, industry and technology. Since 2015, he has been working in the fields of digital music practice, sound art, interactive communication and industrial sound design.
His work focuses on sound as an interface between people, technology and perception – ranging from performative formats to audio-guided applications.
He works as a sound director in theatre and concert settings, including for BR’s Musica Viva, and performs as an electronic musician.
Alongside his artistic work, he develops sound solutions for companies such as BMW and Airbus and teaches at universities.
