Pezi Novi

I was born in Tittmoning in 1968. After graduating from high school,
I trained as a stonemason and stone sculptor. I then
completed training as a preschool teacher and eventually studied
philosophy (2008–2013). Ever since childhood, I have had a great
love for sewing, embroidery, and knitting, which is why I have always
practiced these “on the side.” The urge to do so grew increasingly
strong and passionate, and sewing and embroidery took up more and more of my time. I held my first solo exhibition, “coming out,” in 2017 as part of the Open Studios at the Wiedefabrik, which was curated by Anna Wondrak.
I have been an active member of GEDOK since 2023; my
welcome exhibition, “Veränderungen” (Changes), curated by Christina
Kirchinger, took place in 2023.
