Markus Eder
Markus Eder studied economics in Munich and Cambridge, UK. He began his career as a policy advisor at the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, and then worked as a national expert at the European Commission. He gained further experience in the planning staff of CSU Chairman Edmund Stoiber before assuming the position of Head of the Department for Economic and Technology Policy at the Bavarian State Chancellery. At the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, he headed the department for foreign trade promotion and still leads the department for small and medium-sized enterprises, crafts, trade, and the liberal professions, including creative industries/design. He is also the managing director of the Danner Foundation for the promotion of arts and crafts.
