Dr Niina Zuber is a research coordinator at bidt in the research area of State, Regulation and Infrastructure. As an ethicist, she deals with the challenges of ethical software design and requirements engineering, and the question of how ethical principles can be systematically integrated into software development. A particular focus of her work is the interaction between software and democracy, particularly the way in which digital technologies influence democratic processes and the ethical requirements for software development that arise from this. She has explored these topics in depth as part of the bidt project “Ethics in agile software development.”
